CLMBR - Achievement Badge Designs

For this project, I collaborated closely with the Chief Design Officer at CLMBR to create a batch of starter badges while the CLMBR's built in UX/UI was being developed. I went through several iterations of these designs, some good, some bad, and some just downright terrible. Frankly, it was the most challenging design project I have ever done in my career. But I loved it so much, since it did challenge me, and I got pushed to my design limits (in a good way, of course).

I worked endlessly creating the perfect badge designs, jumping from illustrator to pen and paper frequently, creating a series of different shapes that were angular and bold, but still gave off an elegant finish and tied into CLMBR's brand. I created both metallic and flat finishes for different uses on the CLMBR's built-in app. Please see the final product, and the process to get to the final design, below.

Final Design:

The main goal was to have a set of "starter" badges that the developers could use in the app to see how the badges would look. The Chief Design Officer wanted the badges to not only fit brand guidelines, but also feel as if you could hold the badge in your hand. I wanted them to have the look and feel you would get if you could get badges in a Tesla car, mainly flat and minimal design, but with touches of metallic luxury that put the cherry on top.

Process Snapshots:

Sadly, we won't always get things right the first time. But it's all about the journey, and what we learn along the way. Please see the board below showing some progress shots and different versions of the badges that I created:
